Guided tour: Slow Chaos

What do mathematicians mean by “chaos”? Why do they study it? 

For most of us, chaos is synonymous with disorder. But chaos is so much more than that. 
On Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 2 p.m., we’ll take a different look at chaos. On our guided tour of the exhibition “Slow Chaos,” we’ll learn what chaos has to do with pretzels and why it can be slow or fast. 

The tour is free, in German and lasts about an hour. An English tour will take place on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 6 p.m.
